We are looking for an individual with the desire to be a part of the fastest growing news operation in Middle Georgia. The successful candidate will possess proven communication skills and meteorological competence that will enable him or her to prepare and deliver an accurate, educational and entertaining forecast. Fox 24 offers an opportunity to work in a growing market just 75 miles from Atlanta and less than two hours from the beach. QUALIFICATIONS: Interest and experience in covering both tropical and severe weather is a must. A degree in meteorology or atmospheric sciences is desired along with possessing or the ability to apply for both the AMS and NWA seals. Knowledge of Weather Central's Genesis is a plus! The successful candidate should also possess strong writing skills and must be able to work under deadline pressure. Occasional shooting may be required, and candidate must know how to edit DVC Pro tape. Successful candidates are also urged to engage and interact with the public by participating in various community events and school weather presentations.
